Eleven E Cricket Inc. (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the Area 11 website and related services at area11.ca, including email and SMS marketing. This Policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and your choices.

Information We Collect

  • Order & account data: name, email, phone, billing/shipping address, order details.
  • Marketing preferences: email/SMS opt-in status, timestamps, source/method of consent.
  • Usage & device data: pages visited, device/browser info, approximate location, cookies or similar tech.
  • Location data (if enabled): approximate geolocation or IP-based region to personalize experiences or detect fraud.

How We Use Information

  • To process orders, provide support, and operate our site/store.

Cookies & Abandoned Cart (SMS)

Area 11’s website uses cookies to keep track of items you add to your shopping cart, including when a cart is abandoned. This information is used to determine when to send cart reminder messages via SMS to the mobile number you provided, where you have opted in to receive such messages.

Lawful Basis & Consent

We rely on your consent (e.g., newsletter/SMS opt-in), performance of a contract (fulfilling orders), and our legitimate interests (site security, analytics). You may withdraw email/SMS consent at any time (see “Your Choices”).

Sharing

We share data with service providers (e.g., Shopify, payment processors, email/SMS platforms, analytics) to operate our business. We do not sell personal information.

SMS exception: The above excludes text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties for their own marketing purposes.

International Transfers

Your data may be stored/processed outside your province or country (e.g., in the U.S.). We take appropriate safeguards and contractual protections.

Retention

We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above and as required by law (e.g., tax/record-keeping). Marketing consent records may be retained to honour opt-out requests.

SMS Terms (Canada/US)

By providing your mobile number and opting in on our website/checkout or via keyword, you agree to receive recurring marketing and informational text messages from Area 11 (operated by Eleven E Cricket Inc.). Message frequency varies; message & data rates may apply. Consent isn’t a condition of purchase.

Program & Messages

  • Program name: Area 11 Alerts
  • Message types: promotions, product updates, order/shipping updates, reminders (including abandoned cart).
  • Frequency: up to 8 msgs/month.

Opt-In & Opt-Out

  • Opt-in: web forms/checkout checkbox or texting our keyword to our toll-free number.
  • Opt-out: reply STOP to any message to cancel. You’ll receive a confirmation text.
  • Help: reply HELP for assistance or email support@area11.ca.

Eligibility, Location & Coverage

Program available to Canada/US numbers that can receive texts from toll-free numbers. If you enable location-based features, we may use approximate location (e.g., IP region) to tailor messages or detect fraud. Carriers are not liable for delayed/undelivered messages.

Mobile Terms of Service

The Area 11 mobile message service (the "Service") is operated by Area 11 (“Area 11”, “we”, or “us”). Your use of the Service constitutes your agreement to these terms and conditions (“Mobile Terms”). We may modify or cancel the Service or any of its features without notice. To the extent permitted by applicable law, we may also modify these Mobile Terms at any time and your continued use of the Service following the effective date of any such changes shall constitute your acceptance of such changes.

By consenting to Area 11’s SMS/text messaging service, you agree to receive recurring SMS/text messages from and on behalf of Area 11 through your wireless provider to the mobile number you provided, even if your mobile number is registered on any state or federal Do Not Call list. Text messages may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system or other technology. Service-related messages may include updates, alerts, and information (e.g., order updates, account alerts, etc.). Promotional messages may include promotions, specials, and other marketing offers (e.g., cart reminders).

You understand that you do not have to sign up for this program in order to make any purchases, and your consent is not a condition of any purchase with Area 11. Your participation in this program is completely voluntary.

We do not charge for the Service, but you are responsible for all charges and fees associated with text messaging imposed by your wireless provider. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Check your mobile plan and contact your wireless provider for details. You are solely responsible for all charges related to SMS/text messages, including charges from your wireless provider.

You may opt-out of the Service at any time. Text the single keyword command STOP to +18559675412 or click the unsubscribe link (where available) in any text message to cancel. You'll receive a one-time opt-out confirmation text message. No further messages will be sent to your mobile device, unless initiated by you. If you have subscribed to other Area 11 mobile message programs and wish to cancel, except where applicable law requires otherwise, you will need to opt out separately from those programs by following the instructions provided in their respective mobile terms.

We may change any short code or telephone number we use to operate the Service at any time and will notify you of these changes. You acknowledge that any messages, including any STOP or HELP requests, you send to a short code or telephone number we have changed may not be received and we will not be responsible for honoring requests made in such messages.

The wireless carriers supported by the Service are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. You agree to provide us with a valid mobile number. If you get a new mobile number, you will need to sign up for the program with your new number.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that we will not be liable for failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any information sent through the Service, any errors in such information, and/or any action you may or may not take in reliance on the information or Service.
